Gurney is the Australian nickname for a pressure washer, the same machine people call a pressure cleaner or power washer. The difference between machines is huge though. Hire and domestic units put out a fraction of the flow and pressure of commercial gear, which is why professional results look so different from a weekend DIY effort.

It can if the pressure is wrong, which is the most common DIY mistake. Too much pressure etches lines into concrete and blows the sand out of paver joints. We match the pressure and nozzle to each surface and drop to soft washing where a surface is too delicate, so nothing gets damaged.

Not if it is treated properly. We pre-treat with a growth killer so the mould and algae die at the root instead of being sheared off at the surface, which is what a bare gurney does. That is why our cleans typically stay good for 12 to 18 months, while DIY results often green up again within months.

Just the big stuff. Move cars, bikes and anything you do not want wet, and we will handle pot plants, mats and light furniture ourselves. We wet down the gardens before we start and rinse everything off afterwards, so the surrounds are looked after from the first minute to the last.

We keep an eye on the weather and call you if it looks like heavy rain. Light showers do not affect the clean, but a downpour makes rinsing and checking the finish harder, so we would rather move you to the next clear day. Rescheduling costs nothing.
